In Beaumont, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Texas vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

BEWARE SCAMMER contacted this man with an issue I had with my vehicle. Had me believe that he was in town and was 20 minutes away. Waited over an hour and a half and he wouldn’t respond to my texts or calls. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY.

Promised to come out and then didn't and wouldn't answer the phone or text. super unprofessional. I had a work crew stranded on the side of the road. Called Pat. He said he was in the middle of a repair and would be able to head out to where my work crew was in about 30 min-1hr. My foreman called him and he said he was headed that way. It was a 30 min drive. 1 hr later he wasn't there. He stoped responding to his phone calls and texts. Ghosted us. Now its 10pm and I luckily found another mobile mechanic that can come out.

Unreliable and Unprofessional - Do Not Rely on Pat Pat the mobile mechanic was highly unreliable. I was driving home to Houston with my family after visiting family in Louisiana when my water pump bearing failed. I called Pat because we were stuck too far from friends and family to get a lift, and he promised to pick up the part and supply the tools so I could swap the pump out myself. After making me wait 30 minutes for that promise, he completely ghosted me for the next hour. I ended up paying for an Uber to get the necessary parts and fix the vehicle myself. This guy is not running a professional business. Be warned if you are counting on him for timely assistance.

Patrick is a guy that's has a word. That's hard to come by these days concerning people. I needed him to come get my truck off the side of a dangerous road. He came promptly and tow my truck to safety. Then he fix the problem that cause my truck to be on side of the road. I will be using him again. Good guy, polite, knowledgeable, and fair prices!!!
